Today, well, yesterday now, was our 4th anniversary. We celebrated by ordering in pizza and spending a few hours trying to get Abigail to sleep, which didn't happen until after 11. Pretty much just another day. I finally got access to our photos drive from my laptop so I browsed through pics of both girls when they were first born, and then through wedding photos. We had an outdoor wedding at Rosetta Mclean gardens in Scarborough, and it was a perfect day!
Memorable moments:
Mike trying to get me to look at the squirrel sitting on the rock behind my head when he's supposed to be saying his vows. I'm like, "OMG, forget the squirrel, and repeat after the minister already!"
The kids trying to sneak cupcakes off the cake table and poke their fingers into the cake.
My Dad's wonderfully touching speech.
Mike's awesome speech.
Ian's dancing.
The craziness of the dancing for the last song of the night... "Home for a rest" by Spirit of the West.
And all the little touches to make it totally 'ours'...
Designing and printing the invites on my Dad's antique Golding printing press.
Surprising hubby with the cake topper replica of us next to the rock fountain.
Cupcakes!
JS Bonbons chocolates on every table! (Unfortunately, her shop is closed now. How I will miss those chocolates!)
The photo booth, which provided us with so many wonderful polaroid shots, and served as 'favours', as guests were able to take their photos home.
Our 'McGunter' pub sign for the bar.
The best family and friends in the world to celebrate with!
And of course, our honeymoon in Ireland!
I have truly married my best friend and could not imagine life without him. Love you sweetie!
Four amazing years..

Mommy blogs
Abigail rewarded us tonight by going to bed around 8-ish, after running around leaving her toys in random places until 10pm last night, and Kayleigh was also kind enough to stay asleep after I placed her in her crib shortly after, leaving me with some free time! What did I do? Tidied up the kitchen, tossed the growing number of toys in the living room into one corner, and settled in with a tepid mug of decaf coffee and checked in with my new-found friends... mommy blogs. Cause living with a toddler and an infant isn't enough craziness, I love to live vicariously through other moms as well. I recently found Motherhood is not for wimps and One crafty mother and have spent probably too much time reading their blogs when I should have been cleaning or something a bit more useful around the house. Tonight I've added a new blog to this list, which many people probably already read, but I've just discovered.. Dooce. If you haven't seen this one yet, you are in for a real treat.

A month in the real world...
is like years online, don't you think? It's been a while since I last blogged, but I have a reason... my personal computer has been shutdown while my office/craft room is converted into my daughter's new bedroom. Her little bedroom will then be the new baby's room. So... I only have access to the Internet through my work laptop, and I try to use that as little as possible :)
So, what's new?
1. Baby two is due in less than 7 weeks, so we've already passed the point at which Abby arrived (she was 7 weeks early!)
2. I received my fat quarter stack of Heather Bailey's Sugar Mallow collection of fabrics from Banberry Place and hoping to get started on my first ever quilt this weekend! It will be a mix of 9 squares and some applique. I'm so nervous about messing up all these pretty fabrics, but in typical fashion, I can't start with something easy!
3. In the past month I've:
- finished these fish which I started before Abby was born! Note to self to read finished sizes before starting a project... these fish are huge! The last one has no eyes, but I'm considering it done regardless!
- finished a sunhat for Abby. It's the one in the main picture, minus the big flower.
- finished three jumpers for Abby. They are a bit big now, but should be perfect for fall and winter. Wow.. something completed ahead of time!
- almost finished my fall jacket.. just need to get some buttons! I started this two autumns ago, then it ground to a halt when I sewed a princess seam wrong and had to take it out. I'm super excited about this jacket!
- made chocolate frozen yogurt with our ice-cream maker... yummy!
I'm hoping to have pictures soon!
I've also been playing around with ideas for some cutsie dolls made from the beautiful vintage pillowcases I have been hoarding. Otherwise, I haven't been working on any new items for my Etsy shop, as I wanted to focus on finishing up some projects and getting things ready for baby two. However, everything left in my Etsy shop is now on sale, so please stop by!

Abby's Colours of the Week #3
Abby picked midnight blue, black and red this week, which turned up some shops that I had already hearted! Enjoy!

New Shop Nooner #3
So it's a little past noon... but I found the prettiest little shop by Adorabubble Jewellery! I love this tiara! I love how whimsical it is, with the butterflies and curly pieces. It would have been perfect for my outdoor garden wedding!

And baby makes two...
With a new baby on the way in July, I often find myself looking through all the awesome kids items on Etsy! My craft room is being converted into Abby's new bedroom (sniff, sniff) and the baby will have Abby's little room. We don't know what we are having, and the baby's room is already done, so I've been looking for pretty things for Abby's room, which will probably have a cheery garden feel to it. Of course, I can't resist looking at the cute little dresses! And there are a few things for myself too... I need some nice comfy clothes that will fit over my growing belly!

Abby's Colours of the Week #2
I had a lovely weekend... hubby watched Abby while I treated myself to a new cut and colour on Saturday, and again on Sunday while I did some serious shopping for some last minute accessories to wear this weekend for a friend's wedding. Now back to the work week, and my other favourite past-time, browsing Etsy!
Abby's crayon colour choices this week were thistle, blue-green and violet. (Note: I'm starting to guess at colour names now, as she is peeling the wrappers off of her crayons!)
